This past week was a busy one for CBC athletics, with strong performances from both the softball and baseball teams. The softball team competed in the Gulf Coast Invitational beginning on March 6. In their first game, the Mustangs faced Point and earned an impressive 8–2 victory. Later that day with a loss over Brenau, 11–0. On March 7, the team played two more games. The Mustangs defeated William Woods with a solid 10–2 win before falling in a close matchup against Abraham Baldwin, losing 13–12.
The baseball team also had a full week of competition. On March 3, the Mustangs played a home double header against Champion Christian. CBC won the first game 6–2 but dropped the second game in a tight contest, 8–6. On March 6, the team played a conference double header at UHSP. The Mustangs lost the first game 2–1 but bounced back with an 8–1 victory. The following day, March 7, CBC finished the series strong with a commanding 17–3 win over UHSP.
