Meet the 2023 homecoming court

Homecoming festivities will be held Wednesday, Feb 15 through Saturday, Feb 18. The court and crowning of the queen are on Saturday between the men’s and women’s basketball games. Now, let’s meet the homecoming court.

Emily Gentry

Freshman

Major/Minor: Psychology & Social Services, Minor in Counseling
Birthday: February 9th, 2004
What brought you to CBC?: The small Christian environment and scholarship opportunities
What campus activities are you a part of?: Band, Colorguard, Handbells, and Worship Choir
What do you like to do in your free time?: Paint, play piano, and snuggle with my dogs
Favorite color: Navy

How do you feel about being on the court?: I’m super excited, and I’m so thankful to be on the court with such sweet girls


Audrey Johnson

Freshman

Major/Minor: Elementary Education
Birthday: 06/19/2004
What brought you to CBC?: I wanted to go to CBC since the sixth grade when I got a shirt from CBC at SOAR! Since then I just prayed that the Lord would make a way for me to be able to go to a Christian College that believed in what the BMA did, and He opened a door for me to be able to attend CBC.
What campus activities are you a part of?: Leadership student, Tower Media, and I help the SAB sometimes.
What do you like to do in your free time?: I love doing anything outside: hiking, going on walks, running, watching the sunset, etc. I also like to play board and card games with people!
Favorite color: light purple/ sage green

How do you feel about being on the court?: Honestly so shocked! I’m just so thankful for the family God has given me at CBC and the opportunity to represent my class. I hope that I can be an example of God’s love for people!!


Sheridan Rogers

Sophomore

Major/Minor: Exercise Science
Birthday: May 29, 2003
What brought you to CBC?: At first, I came to CBC because it brought me the opportunity to play college volleyball. Now, I love CBC for so many more reasons.
What campus activities are you a part of?: Volleyball Team, Chapel Band, Student Orientation Staff, Association of Student Athletes, Student Activities Board
How many years have you been on the court?: First time!
What do you like to do in your free time?: Play Family Feud with my friends or eat Andy’s ice cream

How do you feel about being on the court?: I’m so honored to be on the court! I’m thankful for the people and staff at CBC that always push me to lead by example and grow my faith.


Abby Wilson

Sophomore

What brought you to CBC?: My parents went to CBC and I was excited to be a part of the choir!
What campus activities are you a part of?: I am a part of SOS, SAB, and on the Tower media staff!
How many years have you been on the court?: This is my first year!
What do you like to do in your free time?: I like to bake, hammock, and hang out with friends

Sierra Burrow

Junior

Major/Minor: Psychology and Counseling with a minor in forensics
Birthday: 11/12/2001
What brought you to CBC?: Definitely God! I didn’t know CBC existed and I knew tons of people that went here, but I found out about CBC right when I was figuring out what college to go to. The night I got my UCA acceptance letter, I announced that I was applying for CBC and going there if I got enough scholarship money, which God provided with the leadership scholarship!
What campus activities are you a part of?: SOS, SAB, Podcast Host, RA
How many years have you been on the court?: This is my 3rd year
What do you like to do in your free time?: Hangout with my family and friends and drink coffee

How do you feel about being on the court?: it is such an honor to represent my class on homecoming court! It makes me feel blessed by God with everyone He has placed around me to help me grow and support me.


Ashanti Williams

Junior

Major/Minor: Elementary Education

What brought you to CBC?: What brought me to CBC was the well-rounded education and the small atmosphere that is around, when I walked onto campus for my tour, the people were so welcoming and nice and I knew I wanted to go to a school that felt like home and CBC met every expectation.  
What campus activities are you a part of?: I’m a part of the Choir, Tower Media, RA, and our Student Activities Board 
How many years have you been on the court?: 2 years  
What do you like to do in your free time?: I like to either hang out with friends or pick up a good book to read.

Autumn Herring

Senior

Major/Minor: Health Sciences/Kinesiology
Birthday: July 25, 2001
What brought you to CBC?: CBC has always been a big part of my family and is the college I always wanted to attend. Being in a place where the intention of glorifying God is at the center of all that we do is so special and so encouraging to me, and I couldn’t think of anywhere else I’d rather be for college.
What campus activities are you a part of?: SOS (2022-23 Senior Team Leader), Student Activities Board (President), Tower Media (Assistant Photo Editor), Medical Professions Society, White Coat Society, Choir, proud Bleacher Creature
How many years have you been on the court?: This is my second year!
What do you like to do in your free time?: I love to watch and support my favorite teams, play volleyball with friends, coordinate weddings, travel and spend way too much money on coffee (:

How do you feel about being on the court?: It is actually so surreal to have the opportunity to be on court as a senior. CBC has definitely played a huge role in shaping me into who I am today, and I am just so honored that I get to represent my college in this way.


Allison Mantooth

Senior

What brought you to CBC?: Jesus, via the Singers scholarship
What campus activities are you a part of? SOS, SAB, Singers, worship, and chamber choir
How many years have you been on the court?: This is my 2nd
What do you like to do in your free time? I love spending time with my people, playing games, and just hanging out!
Favorite color: green!

How do you feel about being on the court?: I feel honored and loved. I love CBC and everyone here. I feel so thankful that God placed me here at this time with these people.


Christa Owen

Senior

Major/Minor: Psychology and Social Services with a minor in music
Birthday: July 5th, 2001
What brought you to CBC?: My friend and neighbor of 18 years (Macy Jordan) really motivated me to come. I also loved the idea of my sister (who plays violin) being in band with me since most colleges do not have orchestras. The Lord just made many things clear that this is the place I need to be for my college years.
What campus activities are you a part of?: I am in band and play the flute and piccolo, I volunteer with the strings, I am a reporter for tower media, and I am also an instrumental ambassador.
How many years have you been on the court?: This is my first time!
What do you like to do in your free time?: I like to read my Bible, hang out with my twin, visit my coworkers, play my flute, and play basketball.
Favorite color: It has always been red
Go to restaurant: Anything, I’m not very picky.
Favorite TV Show: Little House on the Prairie
