On April 15-16 at 7 p.m. in the Burgess Auditorium, CBC students will be performing the Spring Musical, “100 Years of Broadway.”
Compared to other semesters, the spring semester has looked different due to a number of annual events not being held due to the COVID-19 outbreak. However, several events are planned for April on campus.
“We tried to do this [musical] last spring in 2020, but COVID-19 got us, but it was such a fun idea we really wanted to do it,” says Suzanne Banister, assistant professor of music/fine arts
There are 12 students participating in the musical who are involved in the music department and are excited to be on stage.
“I think it is a cool thing to do kind of a mashup of everyone’s favorite songs,” said freshman Hannah Long. “It’s not something done all the time because normally it is one show and now because of COVID-19, we can have one big show and I think it is a fun thing to start on since it is my freshman year.”
Only 80 audience members are allowed to enter Burgess Auditorium, so to reserve a seat, please email Suzanne Banister at sbanister@cbc.edu.
