To all the couples out there, Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. If you need last minute ideas or are just trying to spice up your Valentine’s date, here are some of Conway’s top places to go for Valentine couples.
One: Downtown Conway
Downtown Conway along the old part of Oak Street is great for window shopping and it’s a charming area to take a stroll. Stop by Zeteo Coffee, or if you have a sweet tooth visit Cross Creek Sandwich Shop and taste their sugar cookies.
Two: Cadron Settlement Park
If you like outdoors, consider having a romantic picnic at Cadron Settlement Park. There is a pioneer settlement, and the Cherokee Trail Of Tears exhibit, all free. Then make your way up to the peak of the mountain where you will see an overlook of the Arkansas River.
“Somewhere lowkey, and just the two of you makes it more meaningful!” said sophomore Katie Fitts.
Three: Movies/ Bowling/ Laser tag
Nothing beats a date like the classic dinner and a movie. Spice it up and take your date to bowling or laser tag after the movie.
“The movies here are great They have $5 Tuesdays, and some movies you can also get a student discount.” said sophomore Cassidy Scroggins.
Four: Pasta Grill.
For your dinner date, visit this hidden gem on 915 Front Street. Pasta Grill is a classy Italian restaurant with decent prices for college students including free garlic bread. The waiters are welcoming, and several of them are CBC students.
“There’s a special atmosphere and the food is always amazing.” said sophomore Jacob Banks.
Five: Baum Gallery UCA
Save a little money and visit Baum Gallery located on 201 Donaghey at UCA. This exhibit is completely free and features a variety of art.
Six: Hendrix Tunnel
Hendrix Tunnel located at 1600 Washington on Hendrix campus. It is a free interactive sound and light tunnel under the highway. It has sounds of wildlife and interactive touch sensors. When you touch one of the sensors it lights up and triggers audio. Through touching these sensors, you solve riddles for the ultimate experience.
Seven: Evening in
You could always plan an evening in. Cook dinner and have a movie night for your significant other.
“As long as you’re together, you can make a date out of anything!”, said sophomore Jessica Manary.
