Coming soon! Solar eclipse on campus.

On August 21, a solar eclipse will cover campus in darkness between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. The eclipse will reach its peak at about 1:20 p.m., where the moon will cover about 90 percent of the sun. This eclipse will take place over most of North America.

Many places in Conway have been giving and selling solar eclipse glasses, including Crain Buick GMC on Amity Road. Crain Buick GMC is giving away 400 pairs of glasses August 18 from 5 p.m.-6:30 p.m. at the dealership.

Experts say do not look up at the eclipse without the proper eye protection! Doing so could cause permanent retinal damage.
